Climbing Mt. Muir ©Copyright 2006 Gary A. Morris, All Rights Reserved. Dan and I take a slight detour on the way down from Mt. Whitney to try for the summit of Mt. Muir (14,012'). We got about 50 feet from the summit but could not figure out a reasonably safe way to climb up the blocks to get to the next ledge up.
